Our farming operations cover 385 hectares on owned and rented land within a 5 mile radius of our Hyde Farm Site. Our soil is most simply described as a medium loam overlying gravel near the River Thames, and chalk in our other locations; average annual rainfall amounts to 550mm.

 

Apart from 20 acres of grass we grow all combinable crops as detailed below:

• Milling Wheat - for procesing into flour for baking bread and biscuits
• Feed  Wheat - for inclusion in animal feed rations
• Milling Oats - for use in breakfast cereal products
• Milling Rye - for use by Ryvita^TM
• Oilseed Rape (Canola) - for food and non food uses 

We are certified members of the Assured Combinable Crops Scheme whose protocols we adhere to verified by an annual inspection. This scheme concurs with our aims to produce high quality crops in a sustainable, traceable and environmentally responsible manner.
